Interpol is one of the bands associated with the New York indie music scene, being one of several groups that emerged out of the post-punk revival of the 2000s. The band's sound is generally a mix of bass throb and rhythmic, harmonized guitar, with a snare heavy mix, drawing comparisons to post-punk bands such as Joy Division and The Chameleons. Aside from the lyrics, their songwriting method includes all of the band members, rather than relying on any given chief songwriter.
My favorite band, anyone else fans here? I, for one, think they are a really unappreciated band.

Most famous song off of their first album.

Their most famous song and the main single from their second album.

One of their singles off of their third album.

They are working on their fourth album now. You should really look up some of their songs, great band.

love 'em to death but certainly wouldnt say they're 'unappreciated'.

love the bassist's side-project(s) too: hot cross and co.

i had like a 5-page glowing appraisal of interpol back in one of the EE Chats, but people hated the music talk.

good shout!

I thought their famous song off their second album was Slow Hands?  Their basslines rock, great music.  I absolutely love them, unfortunately they are one of the few bands I love that I've never seen live

Bob Marley is overrated but you love Interpol....one of these days we'll get you straightened out.

I saw them live in NYC back in 2015.

Anyway, the lead singer Paul Banks released an album alongside RZA from Wu Tang Klan.

Strange collaboration. The album isn't too bad.
